Who we are
Positano Protection is an owner-operated asphalt sealing business based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. For any privacy question or request, contact us at cpositanopaving@gmail.com or 705-333-8884.
What we collect
When you use our quote form, you provide:
- Full name, phone number and email address
- Property address and postal code
- Property type (residential or commercial), service needed and any notes you add
If you contact us by phone, text, WhatsApp or email, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as photos of your driveway.
How the quote form works
When you submit the quote form, your details are sent securely to our website's server and stored in a private database so we can prepare your quote. Each request is recorded with a timestamp and a unique reference. Submissions are not visible to other visitors and cannot be read or changed through the website by anyone else. We keep submissions for up to 90 days, after which they are scheduled for deletion, unless you become a customer and we need the record for the job. The online estimator runs only in your browser and does not send us anything.
How we use your information
- To prepare your quote and visit the property if needed
- To contact you about your quote, scheduling and the work
- To deliver the service, invoice and keep job records
We do not sell your information. Requesting a quote does not sign you up for promotional emails or texts. We will only send marketing messages if you separately agree to them.
Services that handle your information
- Quote storage: form submissions are stored in our website's database, hosted by Lovable Cloud. Access is restricted to the business owner and the server systems that process your request.
- Email: messages you send are received in our Google Gmail account.
- WhatsApp: if you message us, WhatsApp (Meta) handles that conversation.
- Website hosting: this website is built and hosted with Lovable, using Cloudflare's network. Like any website, the host may log technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and operation.
These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
Cookies and analytics
Our hosting platform includes website analytics and performance measurement. Cloudflare may set security cookies. Pages request fonts from Google Fonts, and pages with a map request map tiles from Google. These services receive technical request information, such as IP address and browser details. We do not add advertising pixels to the site. Contact us with questions about these services.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep quote and job information only as long as needed to serve you and meet our business and tax record obligations. Access to quote and job records should be restricted to people who need them to handle your request or provide the service.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing cpositanopaving@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
